CHARACTER SURVEY & DETAILS

Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Logan is a bit of an odd one. He doesn't look very tall at first glance, but once you have something to compare him to, he's surprisingly tall. Logan stands at about 6'0" and he's a bit on the thin side, mostly because he hasn't been bothering to stay healthy. He's hardly skin and bones though, and his weight isn't anything really noticeable until he removes the chestplate.

2. How old is he?
He's 32 but looks like he's in his mid-40s. He has aged a lot over the past four years thanks to stress.

3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
While he's standing, Logan is the most poised man in the world. He never slouches, even while he's on his own. Sitting is another matter entirely though; Logan tends to lounge all over the place, even while he's sitting on his throne in front of an audience. He tends to sit more upright when he has to be presentable, but it's nowhere near as stiff as his posture while he's standing. It's like he's not sure what to do with himself while he's seated.

4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
He's a bit of an oddball here too; Logan used to be incredibly healthy and in shape. Stress has taken a major toll on him and he's even paler now and clearly not in the best shape of his life. He looks far older than he is and while he does still train daily, it's something to do to relieve his frustration rather than actual practice. He doesn't have any illnesses or disabilities.

5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
Though he's very stiff while he's standing in one place, Logan's movements tend to be rather graceful. This might just be because of the short cape and sash that flourish around him and distract the mun, but his movements are always quick and decisive. He doesn't move much when he's speaking and his posture tends to be ridiculously tense.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
If you ignore the fact that he looks older than he is, Logan is about a 5/10. He's not ugly, but he's not the most handsome man on the planet either. He feels the same way about himself, though this is mostly due to the numerous scars he has (all but two are hidden under his clothes, the two are on his face). He's quite vain otherwise though, and always makes sure to look his best.

7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Logan is quite pale - he was pale even before the incident in Aurora four years ago - and he has two scars on his lips. The other scars are larger and easier to hide: he has several on his chest and back, one large one on the back of his left hand, and a few going as far down as his hip. His legs are scar free, but he has several on his arms. He has a couple on his neck as well, which means he wears very high-collared shirts to hide them. These scars were all obtained from fighting the Crawler and its "children."

8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
Logan's hair falls to his chin, though it is a bit longer in the back. It's relatively thick and dark brown or black. It's slicked back from a sharp widow's peak, with two strands that stick out a bit further on either side of his head.

9. What color are his eyes?
They're very dark brown.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
Aside from the scars, Logan has what's trying to be a goatee and failing miserably. It makes him look evil, at least?

11. What are his chief tension centers?
His shoulders, neck, and hands. Logan is almost constantly standing stiff with his hands clenched. He's always under pressure as well. It's no wonder he's always so stiff.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
Logan wears clothing that marks him as a king, but curiously doesn't wear the crown. He wore the crown prior to facing the Crawler (though he never wore it while away from the kingdom), but decided against putting it back on afterwards. The crown was the symbol of a good ruler in his opinion, and the things he had to do to earn money hardly classified him as a decent ruler. Logan wears thick gloves, a high collared shirt, and a chestplate at all times, mostly to hide his scars and make himself appear broader (and healthier) than he actually is. His clothes are in dark colors, usually blacks and purples, though reds are common too. He's a noble so of course he has quite a few different outfits, but the one he prefers to wear is one he has numerous shades of.

13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
Yes and yes. Logan is very comfortable in what he wears to the point of fighting in it. He prefers practicality over beauty and will always wear clothes that allow him to fight.

14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
Yes he does. Logan has always preferred more conservative clothing. Though to be fair he doesn't really have any free time; being a king is a full-time job, after all!

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
HAVE YOU NO SHAME

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Logan's voice isn't high-pitched, but it isn't low-pitched either. It's not exactly anything to write home about, but it does have an almost oily quality to it that would make him sound skeevy if he weren't so blunt.

2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
His voice is very even and while he does tend to get a bit louder and quicker when he's angry, for the most part Logan's voice doesn't change to reflect his moods. He does speak very easily with very few hesitations or inflections in the voice. It's very rare to hear him stress anything.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Albion is essentially a country based on Britain, Logan has a British accent obviously. Otherwise he doesn't have any verbal tics.

4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
The common language in Albion, though he probably has some knowledge of other languages thanks to his upbringing.

5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
No, he doesn't.

6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
Logan prefers to think about his words, but if he's forced into a situation where he has to speak without much warning, he can usually come up with something to say.

7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
He's very eloquent. There isn't anything that can change that. If Logan can't find the words he wants, he goes silent instead of stuttering or stumbling over the words he needs. If Logan is hesitating while speaking, it's a clear sign that something is very wrong.

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
Logan is definitely book-smart; he was raised within the castle's walls and saw little of the outside world until he was older. While he has explored the majority of Albion (and the desert across the sea, as well as the city of Aurora), Logan's street-smarts are seriously lacking.

2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
He can certainly do both, but Logan prefers to have time to plan things well in advance.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
His thought process is very linear - Logan looks at the big picture rather than the details and tends to think in terms of logic and practicality. He used to rule in ideals, but time and the situation has forced him to alter his methods.

4. What kind of education has the character had?
The absolute finest Albion could offer. He's well-versed in literature, math, and the far more important subject of "ruling a massive kingdom." Logan was trained to take the throne at a very early age and was barely out of his teenage years when he was crowned king. He likes studying and learning new things, but that has been put aside in the past four years to focus on the oncoming threat of the Crawler.

5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
Logan is a skilled fighter - he prefers to use a blade rather than a firearm, but he has been trained with both. He's been taught how to made decisions quickly and decisively and he's good at that, even if his decisions themselves are dreadful.

6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
Introvert. Logan has no issues speaking with people, but for the most part he's very withdrawn and prefers to be on his own. About the only exception to this is his sister, and right now she kind of hates him.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
Logan is very driven - he has a clear goal in mind and he knows how to reach it. He tends to be very even-tempered, but all of his moods are very subdued. It's difficult to tell just what Logan is feeling, outside of anger or irritation, that is. All other emotions are a bit difficult to read since he tends to have one of three lineface expressions on.

8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
He's cautious but not to the point of being obvious. Logan is the king, it's expected that he'll meet new people all the time. He's not exactly very skilled at making small talk, but he is a good listener and knows just when to nod and... kind of smile. He tends to act more interested in new people than he actually is.

9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
React, though in times of peace when he's not under the threat of the Crawler or his younger sister booting him off the throne, Logan tends to act instead of react.

10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
Fight. This is what got him in trouble in the first place. Instead of running from the Crawler and whatever the hell else was in those caves, Logan had his army stand and fight. He did eventually flee, but for the most part he prefers to stand and fight.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
What sense of humor? Logan appreciates irony, but other than that he dislikes jokes. He's particularly offended by any jokes revolving around sex or romance in general.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
No he doesn't. Logan is ridiculously paranoid, but it's due to the Crawler rather than anything that he was born with.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
His younger sister's birth, becoming king, and facing the Crawler are the main ones.

14. What does he fear?
The Crawler, obviously. This extends to fear of caves, the dark, and ghosts. Hollow Men are not okay, alright.

15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
It's not necessarily a hope, but Logan must defeat the Crawler to save Albion. Outside of that he really doesn't have any sort of hopes or dreams. This is the only thing he's focusing on; he won't be distracted by anything he might personally want. This is for the good of Albion.

16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
That he's as terrified of the Crawler as he is. He doesn't want anyone to know about the scars he gained from that battle, nor does he want them to find out just what happened. It makes him sound insane and weak, both things he really can't afford as the ruler of Albion.

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
Logan's mother was the Hero Queen who saved Albion from the man who built the Spire a good fifty years before the start of Fable III. He was on good terms with both his mother and father, though Logan's father died when he was fairly young. His mother never really recovered after the loss and she passed away when Logan was in his late teens. He was placed on the throne immediately after her death. He loved them both in his own way, but he was never very openly affectionate.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
Yes he does! Logan has a younger sister, the Hero of Brightwall. They were very close prior to Logan forcing his sister to choose between a group of protesters or her friend. He had them killed and she swore to never forgive him and left the castle that night. He worries about her frequently, but she is a Hero, she'll be capable of taking care of herself. She might hate him, but he will never love her any less.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
No there aren't. Logan doesn't know any of his relatives, though his mother spoke highly of her sister Rose. He never met her, apparently she died when his mother was a child.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
No there aren't. Logan doesn't consider anyone else family; blood is thicker than water and all that.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
His... little sister... Logan doesn't do friends, alright.

6. Does he have other close friends?
No, he doesn't. Because how does he shot friends.

7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
Logan does have some difficulties getting along with people, but the majority of the reason why he doesn't have friends is because he can't be bothered. He prefers to be alone; the only exception to this is his sister.

8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
Family. He doesn't have any friends after all.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?
He's single, never been married. While he should be looking to change this (since lol nobility), he is currently more interested in stopping the Crawler, that way there will actually be somewhere to rule if he does have a child in the future.

10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
No.

11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
Logan is a bit of an oddball; he's never really had a crush. Admittedly he was kept within the palace and never really met girls his age, but he never found anyone interesting romantically. Likewise, he hasn't felt any sort of romantic interest lately either.

12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
Someone who will understand him and assist him. He requires at least some kind of attraction - whether it's romantic or not doesn't matter - as well, since he'll be ruling with them. Logan doesn't believe that the king has all the power, his mother was more powerful, after all. His partner should be capable of ruling the kingdom in his stead should something happen to him. In other words, he's really looking for a partner, not a love interest.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?
No, he doesn't. Logan doesn't particularly care for children, but he doesn't hate them either. He's expected to have children to carry on the royal line, but that's not something he's worried about at the moment.

14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
The Crawler, obviously. While he doesn't consider them rivals or enemies, the rebel group headed by his sister oppose him.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?
He's about a 2 on the scale; Logan has never considered men before (mostly due to the fact that he's expected to have an heir), but Albion is very open to individuals of all sexualities, and as such, he's very open to the idea of potentially seeing a man. You know, after he stops and thinks about it.

16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
Ahaha... haha... ha... Logan is a virgin. Yes, that's right, he's a virgin at 32. He's been saving himself for marriage, thank you very much. It's not important to him at all right now, since there's a huge threat that will kill everyone if it's not defeated. That said he's very linefacey about casual sex and considering it to be something only people who are genuinely in love (or you know, have agreed to it for the sake of producing an heir) do.

17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
This is a good question! I'll come back to this later. :|

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?
Logan was born on July 23rd, making him a Leo. He fits the sign quite well, though his deepest desire isn't necessarily to shine, but at least to be remembered as a leader who managed to pull his nation through a terrible attack, even if the means were hardly ideal. That's assuming the Crawler doesn't kill them all, of course.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
Religion is something that's never addressed in Fable. Logan likewise isn't very religious or spiritual. He might mutter the occasional "oh my god" but that's about it.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
Yes, he does. Logan was raised by the Hero Queen who obviously had a strong set of morals. She ruled Albion for fifty years in peace. He gained the majority of his morals from her and his father, the rest came from his adviser, Walter. He dislikes the majority of what he's doing (harming innocents, taxing the poor and needy, forcing children to work in factories...), but it's all for the greater good. This is ultimately the only thing he'll sacrifice his morals for: the greater good.

4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
He's really only mildly interested in others' beliefs. He'll listen if they're willing to talk and he'll engage in conversation, but he's not particularly interested otherwise.

5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
Poor people are all drunks and if they worked harder they could be respected citizens. Also the Crawler is pure evil and Aurora is a doomed land. Some of those are more accurate than the others, guess which they are.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
Logan is from the royal family, obviously he's quite well off.

2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
He's the King of Albion. Prior to that he was the prince. This change has pushed him into a position of total power and it's one he has accepted because that's what is expected of him.

3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
His home is literally a castle. It's a very nice castle and it's obviously the largest home in all Albion. He's very pleased with it and hasn't changed much of it since the days when his mother ruled. There is a statue of him outside his sister's window, however. That's a fairly new addition.

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
Clothing mostly. Occasionally he'll splurge on furniture or gems - Logan happens to like collecting gemstones - but for the most part he doesn't really spend what money he has. Everything is saved up for building an army to take on the Crawler.

5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
He's the King of Albion. While he's very good at making swift decisions, Logan isn't the best suited to be king, and he's well-aware of that. He accepted the position because he was required to, and he rules because he wouldn't want to saddle his sister with this burden. It's a difficult job, but one he does enjoy to some extent. That said, by the end of all this he's happy to hand the crown over to his sister. He's known as a tyrant throughout Albion for the decisions he's made so no, he's not really good at it.

6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
Training, mostly. When Logan isn't training he's exploring or studying. He likes to be alone, though he never goes on expeditions without some of his army. The last exploration he went on ended in meeting the Crawler and he hasn't done anything with his free time since then. Every waking moment has been focused on raising money and ensuring his army will be prepared to face the Crawler.

7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
Logan skips meals because he gets so absorbed in things that he forgets to eat. Otherwise he doesn't necessarily eat healthily, he will eat whatever the chef has prepared for him without complaint. He does drink, but usually it's only a glass of wine with dinner and nothing more.
